We’ve reached the midway mark of the college basketball season. And the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi men’s team appears to be starting to find its stride.
The Islanders (8-10, 3-2) claimed a 76-61 triumph over New Orleans Saturday at the American Bank Center in one of their best games of the season.
The victory boosted them into sole possession of fifth place in the Southland Conference, two games behind unbeaten conference leader Sam Houston.
Interestingly, two of A&M-Corpus Christi’s triumphs have come against teams ahead of them in the conference standings.
Their upcoming game will be shown on KDF-TV when they host Nicholls State. Tip-off will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
