Baseball is back at Whataburger Field, and the Corpus Christi Hooks have a slew of promotions scheduled to celebrate opening week against the Amarillo Sod Poodles.
The Hooks home opener is Thursday, and the first 1,500 fans through the gate will receive a free opening night T-shirt presented by Mike Shaw Automotive. The game starts at 6:15 p.m. and will include opening night fireworks. Thirsty Thursday at Whataburger Filed also means discounted beer and soda.

Friday fireworks are set to light the sky as the Sod Poodles and Hooks take the field again on April 5. Big Bounce America, “The World’s Largest Bounce House” will be on hand to provide a once in a lifetime experience at Whataburger Field. Game starts at 7:15 p.m.
All fans in attendance at Saturday’s game will receive a free, limited edition Whataburger jersey, and Big Bounce America will be back for a second day of fun.

Hooks’ alter-ego, the Corpus Christi Raspas will take the field on April 7 for Military Salute Sunday, offering active duty military and veterans with valid ID half price reserve tickets. Big Bounce America will be on site, and Sunday is H-E-B kids day, giving the young ones a chance to run the bases after the game.
