CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Victoria West defeated Ray High School 79- 69 to eliminate Ray from qualifying for the playoffs in boys basketball Friday afternoon at the Ray Gym.
West shares the 29-5A district title with Flour Bluff.
The Warriors won a coin flip to get the top seed going into the playoffs.
Flour Bluff will be the second seed. King defeated Veterans Memorial 72-56 to earn the third seed and the Eagles will go in as the fourth seed.
The boys basketball playoffs start next week.
