CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — With the stroke of a pen, one of the most decorated athletes in South Texas high school football history made his college choice official Wednesday.

Miller QB Andrew Body is taking his game to the next level and will play at Texas Southern. He was among five Miller High School Buc star players who signed their letters of intent.

Body is third all time in passing yards in Texas and says Texas Southern was an easy choice. "Texas Southern was my first offer and division one was a big thing for me and my family and they have always shown love from the beginning so why not go where I am wanted."

Miller receiver Adraean Lloyd is staying close to home and is heading to Texas A&M Kingsville where he is joining two other former Buc players. Defensive lineman Jabriel Joseph is heading to Sul Ross, offensive lineman Albert Pena will play at Manchester University and center Austin Leavell is heading to Cisco Junior College.

Over at Calallen, legendary head coach Phil Danaher saw two more of his players get scholarships. Jacob Castellanos and Garrett Rangel are both going to Louisiana College. This makes 126 football players who have moved on to play at the next level during the Danaher era at Calallen.
