CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Flour Bluff is looking to make school history when they play Veterans Memorial in the class 5A region four championship Saturday at Buc Stadium. Kickoff is set for 2:00 p.m.

The Hornets hope to win their first regional title in a rematch against the Eagles. These two powers met back on November 19 when the Hornets suffered their first and only loss of the season 34 to 17.

"We didn't produce enough big plays on offense that night," said Hornets QB Nash Villegas. "I feel like our offense will be our main factor because the defense has been playing great. We need to score some points for them".

"It's our senior year and we already lost to Vets once and we really want to win this game," said Hornets DE Lane Judd. "Since we already played them once, we have a little better knowledge of what they are going to do".

"The key to victory will be controlling both sides of the ball", said Hornets head coach Chris Steinbruck. "Turnovers will be key too. We forced just one turnover last time we played them. We also have to get their offense off the field and we didn't do a good job of that last time"

It will be interesting to see which teams make the best adjustments. We will check in on the Vets Memorial Eagles Tuesday.
