BEEVILLE, Texas — We are coming off another exciting night of high school football. Our Friday Night Fever Game of the Week took place in Beeville where the Trojans hosted Sinton.
Since the start of the game was delayed due to severe weather, we were unable to show you the trophy presentation to the victorious team during our broadcast las night.
But we have it for you now.
After Beeville rallied from 14 down late to take a seven-point lead, Sinton still had a chance with seconds to play.
It came down to this: On the final play of regulation, the Pirates attempted a Hail Mary pass into the end zone.
It fell incomplete, enabling the Trojans to hold on for an exciting 35-28 triumph over Sinton.
Beeville was down 21-7 in the third quarter, but rallied to win the game, enabling Beeville coach Chris Soza to claim our coveted Thomas J. Henry Game Night South Texas Championship trophy for this week.
It was a satisfying win after Beeville lost its opening game last week.
“Yes sir, I am so proud of these boys,” Soza said. “They came back in the second half and didn't give up. We had some bad things happen early in the second half and we persevered. I could not be any prouder."
Congratulations to the Beeville Trojans as they claim their first triumph of the season.
