CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The popularity of professional wrestling continues to grow, selling out arenas all over the country.

And a new organization is growing, All Elite Wrestling or the AEW, gaining new fans by the thousands.

Led by “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes, who is bringing the AEW to the American Bank Center on Wednesday night for a live broadcast on TNT.

The Lucha Brothers will also be there along with a many, many others.

It's a new and innovating look at today's modern version of pro wrestling.

Rhodes stopped by the studio earlier today, telling me what his brand of wrestling is all about.

“It’s a more sports-centered approach to pro wrestling,” Rhodes said. “Not disparaging any other wrestling outfit out there like WWE. It’s just an alternative to the products.

“The stories are told within the ring and it's a little more adult-oriented of a wrestling product. Our sport can be violent and dangerous and you see a little more of that danger and high risk in what AEW has to offer.

“It's just drastically a different show. They say in wrestling what is old is new. There's so much from the old school and it meshes so well with the modern styles, it's like a buffet of wrestling.”

And that buffet will be on display tomorrow night at the American Bank Center starting at 7 p.m.
