Texas A&M-Kingsville picked up a couple of really good local high school players from Veterans Memorial today.

The Javelinas’ haul was among four Eagles who will take their talents to the next level.

The Eagles’ big linebacker Cedric Evans Jr. signed his national letter of intent to play for the Hogs this afternoon.

And their kicker Romario Perez also signed to play for the Javs.

Evans overcame a serious injury a couple of years ago. Now, he’s 100 percent and ready to go.

And Perez kicked a CCISD record 54-yard field goal.

They can’t wait to play for the Javelinas.

Also, congratulations to quarterback David Soto who signed to play for Lamar. Davis Horne will play college ball as well at Mary Hardin-Baylor.
