In case you missed it last night, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders and Southeastern Louisiana played a great game that was carried by our sister station KDF.
Playing on campus inside the Dugan Center was a real treat. It was a complete sellout and the atmosphere was electric.
After several late lead changes, the Islanders fell to the Lions, 64-58.
It was A&M-Corpus Christi’s third loss in a row, dropping them to 4-5 in Southland Conference play. Six teams are ahead of them heading into weekend play.
But the Islanders will get a chance to right the ship this Saturday.
They will hook up with old rival University of Incarnate Word at 7 p.m. in the highlight of homecoming weekend. The game will be preceded by the Islander women also against UIW at 3 p.m. Both games will be live on the CW.
