A major boxing event tonight at the American Bank Center features two fighters squaring off for the WBO super middle weight world title.
Gilbert “Zordo” Ramirez will face Jesse “Hollywood” Hart in a rematch for the title.
That fight, along with several other undercard bouts are sponsored by local attorney Thomas J. Henry.
Henry, a Corpus Christi native, says he’s excited to bring high profile events like this one to the Coastal Bend.
“Boxing is a lot of fun and Corpus Christi is a boxing town,” Henry said. “If you go back 10 years, 20 years 30 years, 40 years, you will see there is a great tradition. We’ve had world champions right from Corpus Christi.”
