Calallen running back Shenan Price had a career night last week as he earned the Mike Shaw Toyota Gamechanger Award.
Price sliced through Alice for 198 yards on two touchdowns and averaged a scintillating 24.8 yards per carry in the Wildcats’ big victory over the Wildcats.
It could have been even bigger, but two more of Price’s touchdowns were called back after penalties.
Price has rolled up nearly 900 yards so far this season. And he’ll be looking to join his teammate A.J. Brown as a member of the 1,000-yard club Friday night in the Wildats’ critical game against Port Lavaca Sandcrabs.
The upcoming game will be the Wildcats’ biggest of the season. The winner earns the District 15-5A Division 2 championship and the top seed heading into the playoffs. It will be our Friday Night Fever Marquee Matchup.
We’ll provide complete game coverage and the presentation of the Game of the Week Championship Trophy after Friday’s key game.
