Sophia Englehartwas born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from Ohio University in 2022 with a Bachelors degree in Journalism, News & Information with a minor in history and a specialization in anthropology.
She is the youngest of her four sisters but the first in her family to live in Texas. She loves to learn, cook, read and be outdoors.
Sophia is an adventurous, dedicated writer with passion for giving back to her community. Her love of writing was born out of her love of reading and she hopes to use that desire to help others for good. Sophia, along with the rest of the KRIS 6 News digital team, won an Edward Murrow award in May 2024.
