Shane Rackley was born and raised in the Corpus Christi area.
In 2001 he landed a job at the Corpus Christi Caller-Times where he was a digital content producer on their website for 8 years. After his time at the newspaper, he worked as a graphic designer for several companies in the Corpus Christi area.
Wanting to get back into a news organization, he joined KRIS-TV in May of 2022.
With Texas and Corpus Christi history having always been an interest, Shane teamed up with local historian Robert Parks and started the Coastal Bend History column in March of 2023. It has since grown into a weekly segment on KRIS 6 that airs on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
