CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Millions of people have lost their jobs or had to change their work environment due to COVID-19.
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi wants to help people get back into the workforce.
"This would be a great opportunity to provide people out there that’s gonna need these skills, when everybody starts coming back," said TAMU-CC's Career and Professional Education Department's Danell Reilly.
Reilly said the university already has a catalog of courses offered for people who want to enhance their careers, or are thinking about changing careers. With the novel coronavirus pandemic effecting everyone, she said they picked 10 classes that would be beneficial to anyone during this time.
The free classes are available to take at your own pace.
These classes range from creating a web page and creating WordPress websites, which Reilly said is useful since "a lot of people are starting their own home businesses now."
Classes that will help you grow in your career, such as the ‘Keys to Effective Communication.’
"Who doesn’t need that? I mean everybody needs that," Reilly said.

- Marketing Your Business on the Internet

- Individual Excellence
To get any of these classes for free, you must enroll by June 30. Once you have enrolled, you will have access to the course for a total of three months.
