AUSTIN, Texas — Governor Greg Abbott has scheduled a press conference Monday.

A press release from the governor's office says he will make an announcement regarding the reopening of Texas during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The conference will be live-streamed at 2 p.m. from the Texas State Capitol. That live-stream will appear in this article.

Phase one of Texas's reopening plan started on Friday, May 1. Since then, retail stores, restaurants, malls, and movie theaters have been allowed to re-open at 25 percent capacity with specific guidelines that line up with health official's recommendations.

Bowling alleys, video arcades, water parks, massage establishments, and tattoo parlors are some of the business that have not been allowed to reopen yet.

Texans are still recommended to stay home if possible, wash your hands frequently, avoid touching your face, and practice social distancing.
