The theme of Tuesday at the Republican National Convention is "Make America Safer Again."
Those in attendance and those watching are hearing speakers discuss crime and immigration.
Nikki Haley is among those giving a speech Tuesday. During the Republican primaries, she was a vocal critic of Trump. However, about two months after suspending her campaign, she said she would back Trump.

Haley is not the only former Trump rival taking the RNC stage Tuesday. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is also giving a speech. Like Haley, DeSantis said he would support Trump after getting out of the race in January.
Vivek Ramaswamy, who also dropped out of the race for president in January and endorsed Trump, is on the speaking schedule as well.
The first day of the RNC was full of anticipation and excitement as Trump announced JD Vance as his running mate. Trump appeared with Vance Monday night. The former president had a bandage over his ear after being wounded in an assassination attempt on Saturday.
