ROBSTOWN, Texas — It's Takeout Tuesday today and a good time to check in on a family favorite in Robstown.
Rod'n'Rolls Treats & Eats have been serving up goodies on Highway 44 for around 25 years.
Siblings Roland and Rodney Flores took over the business from their parents back in 2004.
And they are teaming up with former Robstown Cottonpickers star pitcher and now Texas Ranger Florencio Serrano to give away 500 smoothies starting at 4 p.m. on Friday.
“Right now, the times the way they are, it's something we want to do to give a little pump of positivity to the community and give out some smoothies and have people stop by," Roland Flores said. "I think it's going to be a nice hot day Friday, so it should be just right. ”
And they looked delicious indeed.
