CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas Oil and Gas Association is celebrating 100 of service in the Lone Star State.
The association partnered with Citgo in Corpus Christi to showcase their contributions to the oil and natural gas industry.
Coastal Bend officials and representatives from the association gathered for a private tour of the refinery.
"We saw an enormous amount of investment that are creating jobs here in Corpus Christi, but literally is responsible for hundreds of thousands of jobs throughout the Lone Star State." said Todd Staples, president of TXOGA.
Citgo is the fifth-largest refinery in the country, with three refineries here in Corpus Christi.
