HOUSTON, Tx — What a wild year for natural disasters in Texas.
Five confirmed tornadoes were reported in total (as of Friday morning); there were dozens of reports, but according to KPRC Meteorologist Justin Stapleton, many of them could be the same tornado we saw in other reports.
Many viewers also shared their photos and videos of what appeared to be tornadoes across Southeast Texasincluding Liberty Countyand onepossible tornado crossing Lake Houston. Two homes were also damaged in southwest Houstonby the possible tornado.
The National Weather Service is expected to come out later today to assess the damage, and we will have those updates for you as that information becomes available.
