CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Some high school students from north and central Texas are spending part of their week here. But it certainly isn't a day at the beach.

We caught up with the group in Aransas Pass today. They are spending their time here making repairs to homes that were damaged by Hurricane Harvey.

They are doing everything from removing debris to making roof repairs and replacing siding.

“When we first came in here, I saw, when we came to the back, I first saw how everything was all damaged,” Harvey helper Monique said. “And I was like ‘this is horrible.’

“But knowing that we are here to help them actually makes me feel better.”

This group is with a ministry group called Bounce. They plan on helping residents in Rockport, Sinton and Corpus Christi this week. They wrap up their trip on Friday.
