KINGSVILLE, Texas — The Texas A&M University-Kingsville Foundation has raised more than $100 Million in private support through its comprehensive capital campaign.

The university’s campaign has exceeded its goal 20 months ahead of schedule.

The successes of the With You. Without Limits. Campaign started in 2014 with 13 dedicated volunteers to ensure that Texas A&M University-Kingsville will continue to strive for excellence.

This $100 Million donation gives a more ready source of funds to the university and its people, associations and groups so that when they want to do something, they don’t have to wait to accomplish what it is they need to do to move forward.

“Oh, to continue to grow, continue to focus on excellence, to continue to focus on those areas where we have a historical presence as well as historical excellence. Then over time to be able to add some new programs in various areas to meet the needs of the broader South Texas region,” said President of Texas A&M University-Kingsville Dr. Mark A. Hussey.
These funds will help with wildlife research, engineering, business, fine arts, athletics, biological sciences, and so many other programs at the university.

They will also take very good programs and elevate them to become excellent programs.
With the generosity of the holiday season now accounted for, the campaign tallies $100,915,988 in gifts and commitments, with 4,970 alumni, faculty, students and friends of the university donating and participating in the effort.
“We are still going on the campaign. We have 20 months to go, and we are happy to have passed the goal, and we are looking forward to see how far we can get beyond the goal,” said Texas A&M University-Kingsville Vice President of Institutional Advancement Brad Walker.
