The U.S. coast guard evacuated a mariner due to medical reasons Saturday afternoon.
A transmission came into the Sector/Air Station Corpus Christi watchstanders from a fishing vessel called “Miro.”
A flight surgeon on duty recommended an immediate medevac and the Coast Guard Station Port Aransas Response Boat-Medium boat crew arrived on the scene to transfer the patient.
The man is reported to be in a stable condition.
