DALLAS – (KXAS) 36-year-old Tracy Ludwig is charged with injury to a child after this incident was caught on camera back on November 6, 2018, at the Little Country daycare pre-school in Haslet, Texas.
The boy’s mother says Ludwig told her the boy had been acting up and injured himself.
Two days later, when bruises on his face and neck got worse, the boy’s regular teacher told her the boy’s injuries were not self-inflicted and the director showed her surveillance video of what happened.
Kindsie Andreason, the boy’s mother, said, “It just upset me so much. Total outrage just went over me and, I don’t know, it was just awful seeing your son just sitting there, being hit by someone who you are paying to take care of your kid for you.”
In addition to the criminal charge against Ludwig, a spokeswoman for Texas Child Protective Services said the agency has launched an investigation into the incident.
