CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Cleanup is underway following a fire on the city's south side.
It happened on the 6500 block of Edgewater Drive just after midnight.
That's where fire fighters say flames broke out in a garage in one home then quickly spread to a neighboring house.
Firefighters were able to put out the flames in about 20 minutes.
Nobody was injured, but eight family members who lived in the house where the fire broke out were displaced.
Red Cross will be assisting them.
The second home was vacant.
While the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, investigators say fireworks may be to blame.
