Shots fired overnight near Weber Road

CORPUS CHRSITI, Texas — Three people who fired shots during a police chase are still on the run.

This began just before 2 a.m. on Thursday when a woman reported she had been carjacked at a gas station near Panama and Weber Road.

The stolen vehicle was spotted, and police chased it.

Shots were fired from the car, but it's not known if the shots were fired in the air or at police.

The car crashed near Mcardle and Rodd Field Road when the people inside took off on foot.

Since then police have learned that the woman who called them knows the suspects.

They have been Identified and face charges of aggravated robbery, evading, hit and run and aggravated assault of a peace officer.
