More than 20,000 Bell County voters have now checked-in to cast their Election Day ballots. This brings the total turnout for this election to over 100,000.

Officials say more than 38% of the county's 252,817 registered voters have already participated in the election with more than two hours left to get in line.

"As many Bell County voters prepare to leave work and head to the polls, more than 21,200 have already checked-in to cast their ballots. There are now 8 voting sites with reported waits. The remaining 36 sites have no reported waits.

As a reminder, voting sites will remain open as long as it takes for anyone in line by 7:00 p.m. to cast their ballot. As previously mentioned, Bell County will hold its Early Voting and Ballot-by-Mail results until the last voter has entered the voting space and can no longer use their phones," Bell County officials say.

4:00 p.m.-

Bell County is reporting that after nine hours of Election Day voting, more than 18,700 voters have checked in to cast their ballots.

"Lines are growing at some voting sites. The sites located at Central Texas College and the Killeen Senior Center are reporting waits of over more than 45 minutes. Four other sites, The Harker Heights Parks & Recreation Center, Killeen Utilities Department, Liberty Christian Center, and Journey Church, have lines of up to 45 minutes. The rest of the county's 42 voting sites currently report little to no wait at all," Bell County officials say.

3:15 p.m.-

More than 78,000 ballots were cast during early voting ahead of the November 3, 2026 General Election, according to unofficial numbers from the Nueces County Early Voting Turnout report.

Bell County officials add that "with just a third of Election Day left, more than 16,300 voters have checked in to cast their ballots. This brings the total turnout so far to more than 96,500. This is the third highest turnout for any election in Bell County history."

"After the first seven and a half hours of Election Day, more than 15,400 Bell County voters have checked-in to cast their ballots. This brings the total in-person turnout to more than 95,400.

At this time, 1 of the county's 42 voting sites is reporting waits in excess of 45 minutes, another 5 are reporting waits of 16 to 45 minutes, and the remaining 36 sites report no waits at all," Bell County officials say.

1:30 p.m. -

Bell County officials say: "We are halfway through Election Day, and nearly 12,500 Bell County voters have already checked-in to cast their ballot in one of the county's 42 voting sites.

As a reminder, while polls are set to close at 7:00 p.m., anyone in line before that deadline will be allowed to vote. Voting sites will remain open as long as it takes to serve everyone in line before 7:00 p.m.

Seven voting sites currently report short waits. However, many locations across the county currently have no wait at all."

Bell County is also reporting traffic confusion at one voting center, saying: "The Elections Office has received reports that some voters have been confused by road signage near Site #28, located at 130 E. Marvin R Felder Drive on the Temple College campus. A traffic sign located near the intersection of SW H K Dodgen Loop and Veterans Memorial Drive indicates that Veterans Memorial Drive is closed. However, this closure is only to through-traffic and does not impact cars entering Temple College. Voters interested in using Site #28 are encouraged to enter Temple College from SW H K Dodgen Loop via Veterans Memorial Drive. From there, they will turn right onto E. Marvin R Relder Drive and follow signs to the Pavilion."
