Military identifies 2 female pilots killed in Alabama training plane accident

FOLEY, Alabama — Both pilots have been identified in the fatal Navy training plane crash in Alabama on Friday.

The U.S. Coast Guard says the student pilot was Ensign Morgan Garrett and the Navy has identified the instructor as Lt. Rhiannon Ross.

The T-6B Texan 2 aircraft went down Friday night, hitting a house in a neighborhood in Foley, Ala., a small town which is about 30 miles by air from Mobile.

No one on the ground was injured in the accident.
