The United States Postal Service will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 5, to honor the life and legacy of George H.W. Bush.

President Donald Trump declared Dec. 5 as a national day of mourning shortly after the death of the former president.

All Post Office locations will be closed and regular mail will not be delivered on Wednesday. Limited package service will be available, according to the USPS website.

Retail services will not be available on Wednesday. Regular mail delivery will continue Thursday, Dec. 5.

Some banks may also be closed, and federal employees, not related to national security, have been given the day off to observe the national day of mourning.
