President Trump is scheduled to be in Texas today to rally for republican candidates, and folks are already lined up outside of the venue for their chance to see the president in person.

People are camped out in front of the Toyota Center, which can accommodate about 19,000 guests. Campaign organizers said more than 70,000 people have signed up to attend the event. There are plans for people to be able to view the speeches on big screens set up outside the venue.

The rally is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will feature remarks from Governor Greg Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick.

The event was originally set to take place at NRG Arena, which holds about 8,000 people. The venue was switched due to demand for tickets, organizers said.

Ted Cruz is one of the candidates Trump is set to rally for. Cruz faces a strong challenge from Congressman Beto O’Rourke.

O’ Rourke is scheduled to speak at 10 appearances today in the Houston/San Antonio area.
