CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — There was a meeting Wednesday night to discuss concerns of some London ISD residents.

MPM Homes wants to build more than 1400 houses on almost 450 acres of land just off of FM 43 near the London school district.

That has current homeowners worried.

At last night's meeting, residents spoke to four city council members, a county commissioner, and a developer about concerns they have.

That includes traffic congestion and a jump in the student population at London ISD.

"At the end of the day we're really happy with the meeting. It seems like it gave a lot of knowledge to all of the homeowners out here

and hopefully relieved them of some of the questions and stresses they have." said MPM developer Moses Mostaghasi.

The zoning commission has already recommended that the city not approve the project.

a re-zoning vote will likely take place at the next city council meeting on Tuesday.

Plans for the development also include annexing the land into the city limits of Corpus Christi.
