Some high school students from North and Central Texas are spending part of their week here near the coast but it certainly isn’t a day at the beach.
We caught up with the group made up of 112 students in Aransas Pass today. They are spending their time here making repairs to homes that were damaged by Hurricane Harvey. They are doing everything from removing debris to making roof repairs and replacing siding.
“It's really interesting seeing all the damage we saw on the news, right. And now seeing it in person is just a different story. So it's really a blessing to help out with everyone,” said Stephen Dudley, volunteer.
This group is with a ministry group called Bounce. They plan on helping residents in Rockport, Sinton and Corpus Christi this week. They wrap up their trip on Friday.
