CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — Nueces County Medical Examiner's office has identified a young man killed in a shooting.

17-year-old Aaron Justin Salazar was killed after a shooting Sunday night.

The shooting happened at the intersection of Leigh and Villa Drive just after 9 p.m. Sunday.

Police say an argument led to the shooting.

The suspect, who police identified as 20-year-old Jonathan Greenwood, arrived at a home on the 3000 block of Leigh Dr. and argued with Salazar in a driveway.

Officer said Salazar was shot at several times, one bullet striking him in the chest.

A vigil for Salazar was held Monday night. His mother, Leticia Salazar, said, " I just want them to know, whoever took my son from me killed me the night they killed my son. When they killed my baby, they killed me with him."

Corpus Christi Police Lt. Michael Pena said this was not a random act of violence and because Greenwood and Salazar knew each other.

Greenwood's bond was set at $300,000.
