CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — For the first time in two years, the halls at Windsor Park Elementary School were filled with students.

That's because students had been diverted to Chalk Elementary School while a new school was under construction.

Students, teachers and alumni reported the facility for a ribbon-cutting ceremony today.

When school starts on Monday, students will enjoy new science, computer and art labs, a music room and a media center.

“Just in time and we're ready,” Windsor Park Elementary School principal Dr. Kimberly Bissell said. “If you get a chance to see the classrooms, you'll see our teachers have poured all kinds of love and effort into the rooms.”

“Making sure we are ready for Monday morning.”

The project was funded thanks to voter support for bond 2014.
