CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A water line broke outside of the Botanical Gardens on Staples Street, causing flooding in the surrounding area.
A witness said the break happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday afternoon. City of Corpus Christi public information officer Gabriela Morrow told KRIS 6 News the break was caused when a contractor hit a water line.
Morrow said no residents were affected by the break.
The city will be working on repairing the line overnight.
