CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — KRIS 6 News' World War II documentary special, "Summer of 42: The Coastal Bend Goes To War,” premiered live on KRIS 6 at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 17.

Summer of 42: The Coastal Bend Goes to War final
The special was premiered in an invitation-only screening aboard the USS Lexington on Aug. 11, an event in which local dignitaries such as NAS-CC Chief of Naval Air Training Rear Adm. Richard Brophy, Nueces County Judge Barbara Canales, and Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Guajardo.
