A Corpus Christi man is behind bars after he posted a video of himself attacking his infant son on social media.

Police arrested 31-year-old Marcus Reyna on Monday, and he was charged with injury to a child.

A viewer sent the video to KRIS 6 News' Facebook page on the morning of Dec. 27. We forwarded the video to the Corpus Christi Police Department's Public Information Office.

It shows Reyna sitting on a bed, slapping his 9-month old son on the head at least three times before screaming expletives at a cell-phone camera.

The original video is about 20 seconds long, and another child can be seen in the room witnessing the abuse.

According to police, the child did not suffer major injuries.

Police tell us the boy has seven other siblings. Reyna is the father of three of the children in the home.

According to the Corpus Christi Police Department, the other five children were removed from the home during a separate incident. Those children are now staying with other family members.

Reyna is in the Nueces County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
