CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — The Texas State Aquarium again has been ranked as the No. 4 aquarium in North America in a USA Today poll chosen by online voters.
The local aquarium, the largest in the state, was nominated by a panel of experts in July for the 10 Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Aquarium in North America,
TSA has been nominated for USA TODAY’s ranking of top aquariums several times in the past and was also No. 4 in 2019. It comes on the heels of its 30th anniversary earlier this month.
“It is an honor to be named as one of the top aquariums in North America, and the number one aquarium in Texas,” TSA President & CEO Tom Schmid said. “We would like to thank all of our dedicated fans, our members, and all those who voted for us. Even in these extraordinarily difficult times, it is a blessing to be able to celebrate an honor such as this.”
Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, Mo., was ranked as the winner of the poll. Complete results can be found here.
