CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — A local Whataburger employee is drawing attention because of her special Halloween costume creation.
Aransas Pass resident Adela Hernandez,29, along with her coworkers, posted several pictures of her unique Whataburger costume recently. She said it took her four hours to complete the costume and had her sister work on the project with her.
Hernandez stated, "I’ve never done any sfx makeup or costume like this before. It was a great, fun experience and I loved the results." She said she already had the Whataburger clothing because she works for the restaurant in Aransas Pass.
"My co-workers loved it and were so proud of how it came out, " Hernandez said. She said her boss was so excited to see how the costume came out and shared photos with other managers.
"I had customers coming up to me wanting to see the details and just showing me love for my work. I even went to Walmart to get a few things with my makeup still on (and) I had so many people compliment my work."
Hernandez said she is a cosmetology student at Aveda Institute Corpus Christi and offered this advice for those interested in taking classes, "Do what you love to do and don’t let any criticism keep you from your creativity. It’s a learning process and just have fun with it."
