CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A motorcyclist is listed in critical condition following a gruesome-looking crash on the city's southside.
According to Corpus Christi police, the crash happened Tuesday evening near the intersection of Saratoga and Aaron Drive.
Investigators said a 21-year-old man riding the motorcycle was traveling with excessive speed about 7:15 p.m. before he t-boned into a truck that was turning into Aaron Drive.
The motorcyclist was taken to Bay Area Hospital where he was listed in critical condition for treatment after the accident, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
"Just because you're on a motorcycle doesn't mean you can go fast," CCPD Capt. Timothy Frazier said. "You've got to be more cognizant of traffic than cars because you don't have a metal cage around you. We ask you to watch your speed so the roads can be safe for everybody."
