CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Corpus Christi police arrested two men following a stabbing and an assault on the city's westside.

The incident happened in the 3000 block of Niagara Street near Port Avenue around 3 a.m. Wednesday.

When officers arrived at the home, they found a 19-year-old man stabbed and a woman unconscious.

Investigators say it was a family argument that got out of hand.

Officers searched the neighborhood and saw one of the suspects walking down the street. He went inside a home and closed the door. Officers said the man eventually walked outside of the home and he was taken into custody.

The other suspect was discovered inside another home in the area.

Senior Officer Travis Pace, with the Corpus Christi Police Department, said 34-year-old Guadalupe DeJesus Luna was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He is still behind bars over at the Nueces County Jail.

Also, 34-year old David Lorenzo was arrested and charged with evading arrest. He has bonded out of the Nueces County Jail.

Both the victims were taken to the hospital, but are expected to be okay.
