KINGSVILLE, Texas — The Kingsville Police Department has made two arrests in connection with the armed robberies that occurred during December.
Aaron Barrera is currently being held in the Kleberg County Jail on two counts of aggravated robbery. Each charge carries a $100,000 bond.
The other suspect is a male juvenile.
The Corpus Christi Police Department is also investigating two armed robberies that took place in its city and it is believed the same subjects are responsible for committing those robberies as well.
The first robbery occurred at 10:57 p.m. on Dec. 18 at the Kingsville Food Store at 1029 South Highway 77.
The second robbery occurred at about 10:36 p.m. on Dec. 20 at the Sunny Mini Mart, 429 E. Santa Gertrudis St.
The investigation is ongoing and more arrest will be made in connection with the robberies.
