CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A woman has lost her home in Flour Bluff to a fire.

It was breaking news last night on KRIS 6 news at 10.

Firefighters fought the fire near the intersection of Naval Air Station Drive and Jester Street.

According to officials, the woman who lived in the home lost everything she owns.

"I would say everything in the house is a total loss. By the time, when the crews were forced out, there was heavy fire coming out of the attic, coming out of the entire back of the house was engulfed in flames," said a representative of the Corpus Christi Fire Department.

Investigators say the woman was in the process of moving out of the home and wasn't in the home when the fire started.

There's no word of anyone else getting hurt or what caused the fire.

The Red Cross is helping out that woman.
