Three CCISD schools placed under lockdown after reported shooting

Corpus Christi police are investigating a "shots fired" call on the city's Westside.

The incident happened just before 10:30 am in the 4700 block of Prescott Street.

According to CCISD Police Chief Kirby Warnke, Moody High School, Garcia Elementary and Mary Grett Transition Center were under lock down.

The lock-down was lifted at 11:10 a.m.

Investigators added they have several persons of interest detained and are still investigating the incident.

As of now, there are no reported injuries.
