Suspect sought in connection with Alice shooting

ALICE, Texas — The Jim Wells County Sheriff's Department are seeking a 46-year-old Alice man who allegedly shot a man Monday night in Alice.

Sheriff's deputies responded to a shooting at approximately 8:50 p.m. Monday in the 1200 block of San Felipe Street where Victor Trevino Jr. of Alice allegedly shot Ernesto Salinas after an altercation.

Salinas was transported to the hospital and then taken by HALO flight to Corpus Christi for further treatment.

Trevino fled the scene and is believed to be driving a black Chevrolet Malibu, deputies said. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Trevino does have an active arrest warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, deputies said.
