ARANSAS PASS, Texas — Aransas Pass police said a a suspect has been arrested in connection to a double homicide over the weekend.
Detectives said they arrested Omar Rolando Guerra,42. Investigators said Guerra is the prime suspect in a capital murder investigation.
Aransas Pass police officers responded to a suspicious situation involving gunshots at the 1900 block of Sherwood drive a little after 9:00 p.m. on Saturday night.
The siblings have been identified as 32-year-old Joseph Degrange, and 27-year-old Rebekah Degrange.
According to police, when the officers arrived, they found one man and one woman dead inside a trailer home. Witnesses told police that the victims were siblings, and just before gunshots were heard, they saw a man in a gray hoodie walk inside the trailer.
The siblings have been identified as 32-year-old Joseph Degrange, and 27-year-old Rebekah Degrange.
Police said Guerra and the male victim had an unfriendly history with one another.
Based on video surveillance recovered, police say Guerra showed an interest in the Degrange trailer and waited for both victims to be present before disabling the video surveillance system.
Aransas Pass investigators said soon after disabling the video camera, the Degrange siblings were executed inside their trailer.
Guerra remains held on capital murder charges, and his bond is set at $5,000,000.
