CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Local police officers were treated to a nice breakfast this morning.
In 2009, Congress designated Sept. 11 as a National Day of Service and Remembrance.
This morning, the City of Corpus Christi's Retired and Senior Volunteer Program held a Heroes Breakfast for local officers and their staff.
The senior volunteers treated officers to breakfast tacos, all kinds of pastries, and fresh fruit.
They said this was the least they could do to thank our officers for protecting our community.
