’Selena: The Series’ coming to Netflix in December

CORPUS CHRISTI, TEXAS — "Every legend begins with a dream."

Selena fans rejoice! That's because the series featuring the Queen of Tejano, Selena, will be available to stream on Netflix.

The video of the trailer was shared on the singer's official Facebook page Tuesday morning.

The upcoming biopic series will depict the life of late Tejano singer Selena Quintanilla Perez, who will be portrayed by "The Walking Dead" star Christian Serratos.

The series will be available to view on December 4, 2020.

Deadline is reporting that Netflix also confirmed that San Antonio native and former "Desperate Housewives" star Ricardo Antonio Chavira will co-star, along with actor Gabriel Chavarria of "The Purge." Suzette Quintanilla-Arriaga, Selena's younger sister and former drummer will serve as one of the show's executive producers.

According to Netflix, the series will be split into two parts: The first part will be split into six, one-hour long episodes and will premiere in 2020.
