A water boil alert has been issued to customers of a specific water supply corporation.

River Acre Water Supply Corporation (RAWS) notified customers today.

"Due to low disinfection residuals, the TCEQ has required RAWS to notify all customers to boil their water prior to consumption," said the alert from RAWS.

The company asked the public to share the notice with people who may have not received the alert.

"Please share this information with all the other people who drink this water, especially those who may not have received this notice directly (for example, people in apartments, nursing homes, schools, and businesses). You can do this by posting this notice in a public place or distributing copies by hand or mail."

An official from RAWS told us that they get their water from Nueces County Water Control District #3 and distribute to the Calallen side of Robstown, from Farm to Market Road 1889 through County Road 75.

No word on when then the alert will be discontinued or how many customers received the alert.
