REFUGIO, Texas — The Refugio High School football stadium is closed to the public until further notice.
The school district posted a notice on its Facebook page that the closure for the home of the State 2A champions was a safety precaution.
They say falling debris from the concrete bleachers has created a hazardous condition.
A temporary fence has been installed and students are being allowed access to the stadium only with employee supervision.
Just this Friday the school hosted its first home basketball game in two years.
The gym was closed after Hurricane Harvey severely damaged it.
