CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A proposed southside sports complex is on the city council's agenda for today.

The complex would be built along the Crosstown Extension across the street from Church Unlimited.

Today, the council will discuss amending the lease agreement that was originally signed in 2016.

If it’s approved, the revised agreement will set new milestone deadlines for the developer – SQH Sports and Entertainment.

The first of those deadlines is Jan. 3 and requires proof that SQH has the backing to fund its multi-million dollar proposal.

If not, the city could terminate the contract.
